An Important Nutrient
VITAMIN D3
New Product!
5,000 units per soft gel.
Vitamin D3 has been classified as a “steroid hormone precursor?
Vitamin D3 is important for absorption of calcium from the stomach and for
the functioning of calcium in the body.
This nutrient has been found to be effective: ♦ In reducing the risk of breast, ovarian, colorectal, and prostate cancer by 50%. ♦ Reduces risk of Type 1 diabetes by 80%. ♦ Reduces upper respiratory tract infections in the elderly by 90%. ♦ Improves heart health and helps regulate blood pressure. ♦ Decreases risk of autoimmune disorders. ♦ Decreases risk of Multiple Sclerosis. Once in the circulation, Vitamin D3 enters the liver and kidneys where it is hy-droxylated to an active form, 1.25 Dihydroxy Vitamin D. The first major func-tions of Vitamin D3 is the intestinal enhancement of calcium absorption, mobili-zation, and re-absorption of calcium from the bone. Every body cell has receptors for Vitamin D3. Activated Vitamin D3 causes mac-rophages to make a peptide that kills infective agents. It aids in regulating blood pressure by regulating a gene in the body that controls renin production. Exces-sive renin promotes conversion into angiotensin II, which causes high blood pres-sure. If you are on prescription statin medication you need to take the Vitamin D3 test (25-hydroxy vitamin D test) as these medications raise Vitamin D blood levels. The same goes with high blood amounts of calcium and Vitamin D3 - dosages have to be regulat-ed. Do not use this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to Vitamin D or if you have high levels of calcium or Vitamin D in your blood. Or, if you have any condi-tion that makes it hard for your body to absorb nutrients from food (malabsorption). Be-fore taking cholecalciferol tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs or if you have heart disease, kidney disease, or an electrolyte imbalance. Before taking cholecalciferol tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following med-icines: A diuretic (water pill) such as chlorothiazide (Diuril), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, HydroDiuril, Hyzaar, Lopressor, Vasoretic, Zestoretic), chlorthalidone (Hygroton, Thalitone), indapamide (Lozol), metolazone (Mykrox, Zaroxolyn), and others. Vitamin D3 is also thought to have an important role in certain types of cancer. A bal-ance of Vitamin D3 is essential to help prevent skin cancer. Anti cancer effects have been reported for Vitamin D3 in leukemic cells and cancer cells derived from sarcoma and melanoma. Suppression of malignant cells points to the involvement of Vitamin D3 and calcium. It has been found that 30% to 80% of the American population has been found deficient in Vitamin D3 (80% north of Atlanta, 30% south of Atlanta). Expecting mothers must receive adequate Vitamin D3 for the fetus as mother’s milk does not provide an ade-quate amount. Toxicity - suggested dosage of Vitamin D3 recommendations range from 400 units dai-ly to 2,000 units daily to 5,000 units daily to 10,000 units daily, when needed. Taking 30,000 units daily over several months may result in toxicity if a patient has a chronic disorder such as histoplasmosis (a fatal disease caused by the fungus Histoplasma) Sar-coidosis ( a disease characterized by lesions affecting lymph nodes, skin, lungs, and bones). or Tuberculosis. THYROPLUS –150
According to the third edition of the book Professional Guide to Diseases, Hypothyroidism is “a state of low serum thyroid
hormone resulting from hypothalamic, pituitary, or thyroid insufficiency”. This condition is though to be a common occurrence
in the United States and may well effect over 11 million of its inhabitance every year. Most natural thyroid extract preparations
are made to standards approved by the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), which helps to assure that the potency is accurately
stated on the label. Natural thyroid preparations often contain supportive vitamins, minerals, herbs, and glands. Non-
prescriptive preparations of thyroid extract are required by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to be thyroxinfree.
While great endeavors are made to comply with the demands of the FDA, it should be noted that it is virtually impossible to
completely remove all residues of this hormone from natural thyroid extract. This being the case, it is very important that the
attending physician monitor the health, vital signs and symptoms of patients that ingest these milder forms of natural thyroid
extract. If patients have mild hyperthyroidism, thyroxine-free natural thyroid extract may be all that is needed to evoke a posi-
tive response.
