To Outsource or Not to Outsource: THE Question for Small Staffs
Small staff associations with fewer than 10 employees face an enormous challenge large staff counterparts may
not appreciate: Your board expects the same results as theirs with a small percentage of the staff. The decision
whether to hire full-time staff vs. outsourcing key roles therefore becomes a critical – and complicated --
decision. While there are some key factors to consider such as which roles directly interface with your members,
staffing structures vary depending on numerous other considerations. Learn lessons from your peers in a
facilitated discussion format designed to encourage swapping of best practices and stories from the trenches.
