Handling
Use safe work practices to avoid eye or skin contact and inhalation. Observe good personal hygiene. Prohibit eating,drinking and smoking in contaminated areas. Wash hands before eating. Remove contaminated clothing andprotective equipment before entering eating areas.
Store in cool, dry, well ventilated area, removed from oxidising agents and heat sources. Ensure containers areadequately labelled, protected from physical damage and sealed when not in use. Check regularly for leaks or spills.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Health Hazard
Low toxicity. This product presents a low risk with normal use, however it may contain living organisms (bacteria, fungi, protozoa) which may be harmful if inhaled, with prolonged skin contact, or if accidentally ingested. Individualswith impaired immune systems should avoid exposure. Potential skin and respiratory sensitiser. Personnel workingwith these products in an occupational situation should ensure their tetanus immunisation is up to date.
Low to moderate irritant. Exposure may result in irritation, pain and redness.
Inhalation
Inhalation of dust or mist may cause irritation of the nose and throat and possible sensitisation (with asthma-likesymptoms). Has the potential to cause Legionnaire's disease, although this effect is rare.Legionnaire's disease is asevere, often fatal disease characterised by pneumonia, dry cough, muscular pain and sometimes gastrointestinalsymptoms. There may be organ dysfunction and eventual cardiovascular collapse.
Low irritant. Prolonged and repeated contact may result in irritation, dermatitis and sensitisation.
Ingestion
Low toxicity. With large doses ingestion may result in nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal irritation. May increasethe likelihood of developing gastrointestinal infections.

Environment
Fertilisers/plant nutrients may be beneficial to plants at low levels, however high levels may cause reduced growth orburns in sensitive species. Excess may be washed through soil to waterways. Fertilisers released to waterways maycause algal blooms, with potential for toxic effects on aquatic organisms.

In the following circumstances, exposurestandards must be reduced: strenuous work conditions; hot, humid climates; high altitude conditions; extended shifts(which increase the exposure period and shorten the period of recuperation).
RESPIRATORS: In general the use of respirators should be limited and engineering controls employed to avoidexposure. If respiratory equipment must be worn ensure correct respirator selection and training is undertaken.
Remember that some respirators may be extremely uncomfortable when used for long periods. The use of airpowered or air supplied respirators should be considered where prolonged or repeated use is necessary.
