Linda Marie Loiseau was born in March of 1968 to the parents of Lucien and Mariette Loiseau in Drummondville Canada, a French province in Quebec. At the age of 1 year old, they moved to the United States and eventually to Portland, Oregon because her father was accepted into a Masters program at Portland State University. Linda grew up with her parents in Vancouver, WA, and attended Portland Adventist Elementary and Portland Adventist Academy – Christian schools in Portland, Or. It was in high school where she developed her love for science and music; both paths that she followed and continues to pursue today. With partial Science and Music scholarships, the aid of her parents and personal hard work, she was able to attend Walla Walla University in College Place, WA, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Nursing in 1992. While working in nursing school, she began working for Kaiser Permanente in 1990, first as a medical assistant, and then as a registered nurse upon completing her board certification. Linda worked mostly in the departments of Cardiology, Emergency and Obstetrics and Gynecology until 1997. Linda then left Kaiser to work for her current employer: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. The original manufacturers of: Prilosec, Nexium, Zestril, Tenormin, Toporol, and Tamoxifen among many others. Linda currently works as an executive oncology specialist and manages the state of Oregon territory. As an Oncology specialist, she uses her nursing influence to educate cancer Physicians (Oncologists) and Oncology nurses on the benefits of AstraZeneca’s cancer therapies. Currently Linda is promoting a solvent free based chemotherapy for advanced stage breast cancer. She has marketed various medications for prostate cancer, non-small cell lung cancer and mostly medications for early and late stage breast cancer. She has attended and educated patients at numerous conferences locally and nationally on breast health and breast cancer treatments. She has received numerous awards and recognition while at AstraZeneca. Linda is married to Derrick Foxworth who works for the Portland Police bureau and has done so for 27 years. He has held nearly every rank with the bureau. He currently serves as a commander for the southeast police precinct. Linda and Derrick enjoy spending time together walking, traveling and volunteering at their church – Sharon Seventh-day Adventist under the leadership of Pastor Royal Harrison. At the church Linda serves as the Minister of Music, Inspirational choir director, part time pianist, communication assistant and on the health and temperance committee. Linda believes that nothing can be done without God on your side and that with “God ALL things are possible”. Her favorite text which often helps slow her down and gives her patience is found in Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles: they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
