Medications That May Delay Your Treatment – Aspirin Products
Below is a list of some of the medications that may interfere with blood’s ability to clot because they contain aspirin or salicyclic acid derivatives. These medications must be stopped for at least 7 days prior to receiving lithotripsy therapy.
Failure to stop these medications for 7 days may result in a delay of treatment
In addition to the medications listed below (generic name in parenthesis), there are many other products on the market, including many vitamins and supplements, that may interfere with the blood’s ability to clot. We recommend that you check with your doctor or pharmacist if you have a question as to whether your medication, vitamin, or supplement contains aspirin or may interfere with the blood’s ability to clot. *DO NOT STOP TAKING ANY PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN*

The following medications contain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDS). These medications may also interfere with
your blood’s ability to clot. In addition to the medications listed below (generic names in parenthesis), there are many other
products that may contain this ingredient. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions as to whether your
medication may contain this product.
These medications must be stopped for at least 3 days prior to receiving lithotripsy therapy.
