Michail Lifshitz repeatedly won and was awarded prizes in such contests as “Entrepreneur 2004 Laureate”, Ernst & Young; Business Innovation “Entrepreneur 2004 Laureate”, Ernst & Young; Manufacturing and Transportation “Entrepreneur 2005 Laureate”, Ernst & Young; “Best Russian Enterprises”, RUIE (Russian Union of Industrialists & Entrepreneurs). Silke Meyns is heading the group ‘‘Patents and Licenses’’ at ETH Transfer, the technology transfer office of ETH Zurich. She graduated in Chemistry at the University of Hamburg and got her PhD in Food Science at ETH Zurich. She joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG) where she headed an analytical lab for several years and was responsible for marketing activities. During her time at EAWAG she managed consulting activities in the field of surface water management and lab equipment for Swiss customers and for the government of the Republic Ma- cedonia. In 2001 she joined ETH Transfer as technology transfer manager. After further education in Intellectual Property law, she received a CAS in general management from the University of Zurich. Henning Grossmann is CEO of the Technopark Foundation in Zurich. He finished a practical ap- prenticeship, in succession he studied economy at the University of Applied Science in Lucerne. After additional studies in technology- and innovation-management he became IT Manager at ABB Fläkt Ltd. and Manager Business Improvement at ABB Flexible Automation Ltd. In 2003 he founded his own firm, bizzeps Ltd, specialising on technology-innovation, growth strategies and business intelli- gence. At the same time Henning Grossmann took up counselling and coaching work in start-up enterprises and in 2006 with the Technopark Aargau. Danis Karlovitch Nurgaliev (Septem ber 1, 1959) was born in Abdullino in the Kaltasy District of Bashkiria, Russia. He studied applied Geophysics at Kazan State University and received a PHD in Geology and Geophysics in 1983. Danis Nurgaliev spent several months as a guest professor at the Institute of Geophysics at the ETH Zurich and lectured in other European cities. He is author and co-author of a large number of publications Elina Yurina is Member of MICEX Stock Exchange Council; Director of Project Office “Innovation and Investment Market” MICEX; Senior Investment Manager of Investment Department of Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies. She has a degree in “Computers, Computer Complexes, Systems and Nets”at the Moscow Technical University of Telecommunications and Informatics. Elina Yurina studied “Finance Law” at Moscow Financial-Juridical Academy, Department of Finance and Law and in addition earned a degree as an economist with “Investment and Innovations Management” at the Russian Academy of State Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, Department Dr. Dmitry Genkin has the Russian equivalent of an MD in Internal Therapy from St. Petersburg Medical Academy in 1992 and got his further training in experimental pharmacology at The School of Pharmacy, University of London (1992) and at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Karo- linska Hospital, Stockholm (1992-1993). Dmitry Genkin was formerly Chief Executive Officer of ASGL Research Laboratories ZAO, a company that he founded in 1994 to run drug development in the field focusing on viral and cancer diseases. He also served as Executive Chairman of Pharmavit OAO and Scientific Director of Pharmavit Holding ZAO. He is Director of LSE listed Lipoxen PLC and MI- CEX listed Human Stem Cell Institute OAO. Currently Dmitry Genkin is a partner and director of FDS Dr. Renad Z. Sagdeev (December 13, 1941) Member of Russian Academy of Science. Vice-president of
