Those companies, groups and associations that are involved in the production, distribution and marketing
of the following are not in any way compatible with the values and the message of Fa’ la cosa giusta!:
• Armaments and strategic military supplies: weapons and components (electronic systems, chemical, biological and nuclear substances, special vehicles, etc.) when their use is clearly military • Pornography• Tobacco• gambling• Nuclear energy and energy produced exclusively from this source• gMOs (food sector)• Oil, coal and other fossil fuels and energy produced exclusively from these sources• Pesticides and other chemical products (companies, groups and associations included on the Ospar list of • goods produced using: genetic engineering experimentation on animals (not for pharmaceutical purposes), patenting of knowledge (pharmaceutical and I.T.) All those companies, groups and associations that do the following will be excluded from the possibility
of participating in Fa’ la cosa giusta! 2014:
• Are involved in legal disputes with the Organisers
• Present other exhibition companies, groups and associations with “take it or leave it”-type ultimatums
• Send discriminatory or offensive messages, including expressions of fanaticism, racism, hatred or threats
• Are involved in significant disputes1 on the subject of:
- infringement of human and trade union rights directly by the company or through operational activities in “sensitive” countries, where these infringements are systematical y carried out by - consumer protection (especially regarding the quality and safety of products, the transparency of labels and prices, misleading advertising or dumping policies) - safeguarding of equal opportunities and non-discriminatory treatment for women, vulnerable sectors of the population, indigenous populations and ethnic minorities - safeguarding of workers’ rights: safety in the workplace; exclusion of forced labour, under- age work, salaries lower than actual subsistence incomes; freedom of trade union association and col ective bargaining; working hours in compliance with the principles established by the 1 Significant disputes are understood to be those raised by Organisations recognised at national and/or international level that have expertise in the environmental and social field (through boycotting, pressure campaigns, reports) and disputes that have led to criminal proceedings or sanctions.

company, group or association if its presence is in conflict with the message of the event or if it may
cause prejudice or damage to the image of the event or if they consider it incompatible for reasons of
general appropriateness.
FURNISHINGS

Building products that are eco-compatible, natural, non-pol uting or recyclable (natural paints, certified wood, etc.); traditional construction techniques that respect the environment; natural lighting and air conditioning/cooling.
ENERGY SAVING
Efficient equipment and construction techniques for saving energy, water and other scarce resources, such as:• High-efficiency light bulbs• High-efficiency household appliances • Timers and thermostats• High-efficiency boilers (including gas)• Radiators, solar panels for heating, etc.
• Insulation of buildings (including door and window frames)• Recycling of rainwater• flow reducers (also for bathrooms) Services such as:• Planning of energy-efficient buildings• Energy certification of buildings• Consultation on financing• Energy service companies [ESCOs] and energy-saving projects Products to be used to protect the ecosystem or to reduce the environmental impact of production and/or consumption (reduction of packaging, waste, emissions, etc.).

LABELLING
All the ingredients used and the expiry date/best before date must be indicated in full and in a legible way.
COMPOSITION
The following classes of substances are considered prohibited:• PEg, PPg derivatives (tensioactives, solubilisants, emollients, solvents, etc.)• ethoxylated compounds (tensioactives, emulsificants, solubilisants, etc.)• Acrylic polymers (emulsificants, rheological modifiers, film coverings, antistatic agents, etc.)• Preservatives such as formaldehyde and its cessors, thiazolinones, derived from phenilmercury, carbanilides, borates, halogenated phenols, halogenated cresols • Derivatives of aluminium and silicon of synthetic origin• Compounds that may raise nitrosamines (carcinogenic substances)• Animal derivatives such as collagen, tallow, placenta, etc.

• No treatment that is antimicrobial, with ammonia, anti-felting (with the exception of natural processes/ products), non-flammable, silk reinforcing, antistatic, synthetic mothproofing In particular, LEATHER PRODUCTS must meet the following criteria:
• No dye that may release amines that are harmful to health, benzidine or heavy metals
• Tanning of eco-compatible origin using re-growing plants
• No use of chrome-tanned leather
• No use of synthetic fats
• No use of leather from animals in danger of extinction
• No use of adhesives that are harmful to health, except for shoes
• No use of halogen organic compounds, except for shoes
• No use of pentavalent chloramphenicol
• Shoes: use of natural raw materials for soles, insoles and padding
