premium specialty jersey; working closely with mil s, wash and dye houses, patternmakers, sample sewers and hand finishers to re-interpret and maintain the original hand and aesthetic of the line.
• Col aborate with Creative Director Raquel Al egra to expand the label to seven seasonal deliveries. Lead
expansion of design into the areas of tailored wovens, silks, leathers, lace, and cashmere.
• Develop color palettes, material finishes, trim, and fabric manipulation techniques. • Work closely with pattern makers, cutters, sample sewers, and hand finishers to execute samples. • Maintain a meticulous standard of fit through hands-on involvement in al stages of draping and fitting. • Direct all design studio functions including sourcing and ordering of fabrics, approval of colors, execution
of sample lines, sample and production fittings.
• Col aborate with creative team to develop prints from photographs, drawings and vintage samples. • Work closely with dye house artisans to develop new tie-dye and hand-painting techniques.

Col aborated with Creative Director Jennifer Mary to design and execute the couture label sold exclusively at Maxfield Los Angeles, with pieces retailing from $3,000 -18,000.
Worked independently to introduce new concepts, as wel as col aboratively to refine Creative Director’s overal vision.
Worked hands-on with patternmakers and sample sewers to determine draping, patterning and construction techniques; directed all stages of fittings from initial toile to finished garment.
Developed color palettes, material finishes, trim, and fabric manipulation techniques.
Managed a ful -time design room staff, maintaining a meticulous couture quality of workmanship.
Sourced and selected fabrics including imported lace, wools, silks, and leathers; developed custom prints; hand-dyed fabrics and cashmere yarns; managed relations with al vendors including mil representatives, dyers, and finishers.
• Contributed to the label’s threefold growth in sales from 2002--2006 by consistently designing
commercially successful pieces in the col ection; increased production capability through addition and management of key development staff.
Defined public image of the label through art direction and styling of photo shoots, including designing the set for the JMary 2008 Gen Art New Garde Presentation; col aborated with photographers, make-up, and hair stylists.
